Every once in a while, I discover that I am deeply interested in something that I didn't even know existed. Is it a Revelation? An epiphany? I don't know. All I know is that I discover it, and think "Wow! Is that ever fantastic! I want to learn all I can about that!"
That's what happened when, during my perigrinations on the web, I discovered the world of custom knives. Who knew that such craftsmanship existed? Such exquisite functionality? Such dark beauty?
I'm going to let you see just a few pictures of these knives. They are all hand made, some with just a file and chisel would you believe? The first example is valued at $10,000 U.S. dollars. The rest are in the one to five grand range.
